Stakeholder Engagement

Stakeholder Engagement is critical to building long-lasting, constructive relationships between organisations and those stakeholders potentially impacted by the activities undertaken by the company. Most companies and their boards recognise that effective engagement with key stakeholders, is a key component of long-term sustainability and business success.

The Companies (Miscellaneous Reporting) Regulations 2018 increases the requirement for both listed and unlisted companies to report on how directors have engaged with employees, how they have had regard to employee interests, and how they have taken these into account when principal decisions were taken by the company. In addition, companies must provide a summary of how the directors have had regard to the need to foster the company's business relationships with suppliers, customers and other stakeholders during the financial year.

These add further challenges both legal and practical to implementing a satisfactory stakeholder engagement approach. The Board Insight team have over 20 years of experience of undertaking major stakeholder engagement projects and managing independent stakeholder panels. Board Insight can provide
